Sanskrit Classes
Sanskrit Teacher A.K. Aruna
A teacher of Sanskrit and Advaita Vedanta, A.K. Aruna (M.A., University of Washington) teaches in India and in the United States with the Arsha Vidya Gurukulam of Swami Dayananda Saraswati (pictured above).
(DurgaDas’ Note: I have read many of Swami Dayananda’s books, and have wanted to study at his gurukulam, so I am excited to take a class from a student of his.)
In this series of classes, Aruna will be using materials excerpted from his forthcoming Learning Sanskrit through the Bhagavad Gita:
The Aruna Coursebook (Bodhaka Mountain Media), which enables self-study.
The three-hour session starts with beginner Devanagari alphabet study (6 to 7 pm) and is followed by grammar of Gita verses for all levels, with Q&A and Advaita Vedanta (the nondual teaching of the Vedas and Gita).
